Ranger’s Deck - 5-book series
Mieragon (Meer-a-Gone) was introduced in book 4 of the 30 Stones Saga, Red Priest Rising. Now, more than a decade later, the ranger who can shape-shift into a small black dragon, has moved with his family into the mountains and it is there he happens upon an old woman who reads his fate in a mysterious deck of cards called the Pecramae. All the cards but one are blank, and each will make itself known as he solves the riddle of the last. At stake, the lives of all the dragons of Eigrae — including himself. Book 4 of Ranger’s Deck, The Druid, will be available later in 2025.

Evolution
Who was the first person to wield magic? The 30 Stones Saga answers that question as magic is introduced into the world Eigrae (EE-Gray) and bestowed upon Lydria, daughter of a soldier, and Wynter, a man with a mysterious past whose present has been upended by death and strife. The two discover their abilities and use them toward different ends as magic begins to seep into the world. From the creation of the first dragon to the first magical object, Eigrae will never be the same.

Editing Services
As a line editor I will gladly edit up to 5,000 words free of charge so you can see for yourself if I am the right person to edit your creation, and become part of your publishing team.
I understand that writing and editing are both at least partially subjective. As part of the editing service I will provide a manuscript in track-change form so you can decide which edits you wish to incorporate into your work, and so you can see recurring issues
If you are interested in editing services, please email: author@rosairebushey.com and we will discuss what you’re looking for in an editor. I will also work with you so that your editing costs don’t set you up to fail in the marketplace. As an indie author myself, I’m very aware of the costs associated with self publishing.
I’ve had the great pleasure to work with the following authors listed here and have provided links to some of the work I’ve had the pleasure to edit. Please click the cover of their books to be taken to a site where you can purchase one.

On working with Rosaire…
“Rosaire was extremely helpful in taking my writing to the next level. He was thorough in not only correcting the annoying aspects of punctuation, but in making my writing more direct and exciting for my readers. As an author himself, Rosaire was able to not only correct errors but make my writing more engaging. I would highly recommend.”

On working with Rosaire…
“Hi, I’m Mike Mollman and I’m the author… The important point of this note is that I’m a very sloppy writer. Seriously, my mother was an English teacher for 37 and a half years, and I don’t know the difference between an infinitive, a dangling participle or a gerund. (I think that last one is made-up.) Not that you would know it if you read my books, because Rosaire Bushey is a phenomenal line editor who can fix writing like mine. I’ve used him (four times) and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that each (book) is better than my debut novel. Roe is a professional through and through and I am confident your writing will benefit with his careful editing.”

On working with Rosaire…
“Ro took care of me. I came to him late with a quick turnaround. He not only made a space for me, but he gave me a great price – very reasonable. For that, he thoroughly read and commented on my book with insightful findings, highlights of things that worked, and suggestions for ways to improve. I can say with great confidence that it was money well spent. Ro’s a standup guy and good editor. I’d recommend him any day of the week.”

More about me
Well, first of all, thanks for coming all the way this deep into the web page. So, about me - well, I’m a native of Vermont but for purely sunshine (and job) reasons I now live in southwest Virginia, which is very much like Vermont, but warmer and with less maple syrup.
I began writing seriously after high school as a military journalist (officially a Public Affairs Specialist) with the USAF. I did that for a long time and realized I was pretty decent at it and actually enjoyed it.
When I retired from the USAF, I used my GI Bill to pick up a second MA, a ‘fun’ one this time, I told myself. I chose English/Creative Writing. That program helped me put down the bones of what would become Magic’s Genesis: The Grey, a book idea that had been filtering around in my noggin for years.
Since then, it’s been a steady 1-2 books per year and I’m still loving the process. I hope you enjoy the product of the work as much. Please join my mailing list, and let me know what you think, I’m always happy to hear from people who have read my books, and I hope you take me up on the offer.
Thanks again!
